Al Ahli midfielder Zandi broke his leg on Saturday during a match against Meather in Qatar Stars League.
The former Kaiserslautern midfielder went down in obvious pain. The players immediately indicated the severity of the injury and Zandi was eventually carried off on a stretcher.
According to the Qatari club, Zandi will be out for at least six months.
